Management Commitment

At the heart of our management philosophy is the Harvard Maintenance Inverted Pyramid™. The principal idea behind our management style is the belief that managers are there to enable employees to do their jobs, providing them with the support necessary to empower them to excel.

Health & Safety

We comply with all OSHA and state employee health regulations and ensure that all our employees are trained in the proper use of chemicals and are aware of any hazards associated with their use. Safety is a high priority, and we regularly inspect work areas to identify defective equipment or unsafe working conditions.

Human Resources

We screen all of our potential personnel through a two-step process that ensures they are both eligible to work in the United States and have no criminal record. Some new hires may also be subject to additional background checks of: employment history, education history, drug testing, fingerprinting and a DMV check. We hire, train and retain only the most qualified employees.

Training

All of our cleaning personnel receive site-specific training through our HarvardAchieve Learning Management System. This interactive learning technology provides training, testing, certification and management of training services for all of our cleaning and supervisory personnel.

Communications

Dependability is impossible without reliable communications. We offer a combination of online and direct-line communications, so that you can track and report on our services easily through the Internet or by phone. You can contact us through our call center whenever a problem needs immediate attention and action. With multiple avenues of communication, you can be assured that information is always relayed to the right people who can resolve an issue quickly.

Reporting

All of our clients have access to our HarvardSmart tracking and reporting technology as well as our call center. With HarvardSmart you’ll be able to manage all aspects of your janitorial services either online or through an iPhone, iPad or a compatible smartphone. Our unique information management system gives you real-time access to online work order and quality reporting, giving you a complete picture of what’s going on in your facility at all times. Around-the-clock access to our reporting system makes it easier for you to stay informed and proactive.

Service Requests

You can create Service Requests online via HarvardSmart or through the call center. The HarvardSmart Quality Inspection Reports will also automatically generate service requests for corrective actions throughout your facility. All service requests can be customized to match your needs.

Emergency Response

When you need to talk with a live person, you can contact our call center at any time. Our call center is Harvard owned and operated and staffed around the clock, 24/7/365, with experts who are trained to respond appropriately to your site-specific work and service needs and emergencies.
